Activities

Fishing
A distinct advantage for guests holidaying at Airie Farm is that fishing of Loch Stroan, the west bank of Blackwater of Dee and Loch Skerrow (Season Easter to 28 Sept.), on designated stretches, is free of charge.

Cycling
The National Byway passes through 200 miles of Dumfries & Galloway and has been developed to cater for family groups and competent cyclists from 12 years plus. Off-road sections are suitable for most users. The routes are well sign posted throughout the region.

Riding
Included in the rental of the farmhouse is the use of an immediately adjoining grazing field together with a two-horse stable and masses of horsebox parking space. Additionally, and very much a bonus for horse-riding enthusiasts is the fact that immediate access is available to miles and miles of the Galloway Forest Park without the need for any transportation, ie direct from the stable to the Forest Park without the need for a horsebox. The horseboxes can be put away for the duration of the holiday. No traffic, no cycles, no pedestrians--complete safety.
