There
are three farms on the estate: Airds of Kells, Ringour and Airie.
Airds
of Kells
Comprising some 250 acres, this hill farm provides good quality grazing
for sheep and cattle. The land has been carefully maintained without excessive
use of fertilisers and pesticides and conforms with all [EU] legislation
and directives. The farm has extensive outbuildings, some of which are
listed, as well as the farmhouse of Airds of Kells itself, which was built
around 1750 and is very unusual in its style.

Ringour
Comprising some 200 acres, this hill farm borders Loch Ken and provides
good quality grazing for cattle and sheep as well as some rougher terrain
suitable for hill breeds only. Currently the land is rented for grazing.
As with Airds of Kells, the land has been carefully maintained without
excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides and would be suitable for
conversion to organic farming within a 3 year timescale.
Airie
This small hill farm comprises 100 acres and is situated on the side of
Airie Hill. Access is via the disused railway line that runs from Mossdale.
The ground is suitable grazing for hill cattle and sheep.
