Loch Ken offers some of the best angling to be found in Scotland. Permits to fish Loch Ken can be obtained through the New Galloway Angling Association (01644-420 229). In addition to frontage on Loch Ken, Airds Estate owns two further hill lochs, Mossdale Loch and Loch Skerrow, as well as 3 miles of frontage on the Blackwater of Dee.

Mossdale Loch is stocked with rainbow trout and permits can be obtained from the Mossdale Post Office and the New Galloway Angling Association The fishing on Loch Skerrow is currently unavailable for rent Fishing on the Blackwater of Dee can be arranged through Airds Estate (see contact details).
